The Bridle Post Estates

The Bridle Post Estates is an established upscale residential neighbourhood in the borough of Unionville in Markham, Ontario. It was modeled after "The Bridle Path"in Toronto. It is characterized by large million dollar mansions.
Although "The Bridle Post" is in fact the name of a commercial complex in the area, the term generally applies to the neighbourhood including the streets Heatherwood Crescent & Foxmeadox Lane. The area as a whole was founded in 1794, and consisted of many farms prior to development. House prices in the Bridle Post Estates area are varied, but they are mostly well in excess of a million dollars. It is a exclusive neighbourhood, surrounded by (Monarch Park ) and lush ravine.
Many of the estates are upwards of 3500 square feet and feature minimum of 5 bedrooms. A major attraction to this area is the proximity to the 407 ETR, walking distance to Main Street Unionville, and also some of the highest ranking elementary and secondary schools in Markham/Unionville(St. Augustine Secondary School,〔http://ontario.compareschoolrankings.org/secondary/St_Augustine_Catholic_High_School/Markham/Report_Card.aspx〕 Markville Secondary School,〔http://ontario.compareschoolrankings.org/secondary/Markville_Secondary_School/Markham/Report_Card.aspx〕 St. Matthews Catholic Elementary School〔http://ontario.compareschoolrankings.org/elementary/St_Matthew_Catholic_Elementary_School/Unionville/Report_Card.aspx〕).
The area was mostly farmland up until The Monarch Group,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Monarch Homes Home Builders and Real Estate for New Homes and Townhomes )〕 Toronto-based land developer, purchased the land in 1985. The actual "Bridle Post" was established as much of the area (Heatherwood Cres & Foxmeadow Lane) were equestrian farms, and most of the first estate owners were horse owners themselves.
Many of the Estates in this local have been used to film various movies. Many local celebrities and socialites live in the Bridle Post Estates.
